Introduction
The Montgomery Museum of Art & History is located in the former Bank of Christiansburg building, which was built in 1964. The building retains many original features including the steel safe deposit boxes in the main vault. The main lobby is marble-floored, with the old marble teller counter and wrought-iron-work still in place.
ABOVE: an aviation history of Montgomery County
The next history exhibit is Above: an aviation history of Montgomery County sponsored by Wing, a subsidiary of Alphabet. In addition to historical aviation artifacts, we will have a modern commercial delivery drone hanging from the ceiling!
We are calling artists to participate in the accompanying art theme show “Aviation/Flight” so let your imagination soar! This exhibit will run from September 11 to November 2, 2024
Fees
Registration is free for Museum members, $20 for non-members. No images are required to register. Several days before the opening you will be asked to register your title and price (if any). Up to three (3) pieces may be submitted.
