Call for Artists

The next history exhibit Let’s Go to the Depot! at the Montgomery Museum is coming in July, and the museum is sponsoring an art  theme-show to go along with it.

The museum’s panel of jurors will select artworks representing anything to do with railroads and/or the history of Cambria. Any 2D or 3D art work related to railroads is acceptable, it does not have to be a local scene, nor historic.

Submission of up to three pieces is free for Museum Members, $20 for non-members.

So start thinking now of paintings/sketches/drawings/sculpture etc. you have done in the past, or start a new one, and apply to the Call for Artist.

Additional Opportunity

if you are interested in applying for outdoor art, the museum has some free-standing windows that may be painted and displayed in the grounds at Pepper St. as part of the theme show. if interested,  email to request one. In addition to the requirements below the work should be capable of existing outside for two months and not present a safety hazard to visitors. The outside art will not be included in the People’s Choice awards.
