Call for Artists

The next history exhibit Let’s Go to the Depot! at the Montgomery Museum is coming in July, and the museum is sponsoring an art  theme-show to go along with it.

The museum’s panel of jurors will select artworks representing anything to do with railroads and/or the history of Cambria. Any 2D or 3D art work related to railroads is acceptable, it does not have to be a local scene, nor historic.

Submission of up to three pieces is free for Museum Members, $20 for non-members.

So start thinking now of paintings/sketches/drawings/sculpture etc. you have done in the past, or start a new one, and apply to the Call for Artist.

Additional Opportunity

if you are interested in applying for outdoor art, the museum has some free-standing windows that may be painted and displayed in the grounds at Pepper St. as part of the theme show. if interested,  email arts@montgomerymuseum.org to request one. In addition to the requirements below the work should be capable of existing outside for two months and not present a safety hazard to visitors. The outside art will not be included in the People’s Choice awards.
