Montgomery County During the Industrial Revolution focuses on local changes caused by the Industrial Revolution.

Artifacts from the Montgomery Museum supporting collection as well as other materials created by museum staff will be used to learn more about the Industrial Revolution. Themes include communication, transportation, and electricity.

Students will:

  • Identify artifacts and their uses

  • Use primary sources such as photographs, documents, and artifacts to learn about life in Montgomery County

  • Create an ABC book about the Industrial Revolution

  • Write a biography of a person significant in the Industrial Revolution

The kit contains lesson plans, artifacts, books, photographs and more.
