A Public Place: the History of the Montgomery County Courthouse

The Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Regional Art Center is pleased to launch an exhibit celebrating the opening of the new Montgomery County Courthouse in 2012. The exhibit touches on several themes including the history of the courthouse building, the history of the public offices and courts, and the role of the courthouse in the public realm. A few of the items on display include the clockworks from the 1909 courthouse 4-face clock, furnishings from the 1909 and 1836 courthouses, as well as books and personal effects from notable judges, clerks of court, and commonwealth attorneys
Special opening for the exhibit on July 12, 2012 with a reception from 5:00-7:00
