This exhibit will showcase a 1920 Maxwell automobile as the focal point on the main gallery floor. This extraordinary vehicle will be on display courtesy of Jackie Shelton and her family.
In 1909, there was only one automobile in Montgomery County, but this number expanded rapidly during the 1910s and 1920s. The 1920 Maxwell Touring Car currently on exhibit has been in the Shelton Family since 1958. It was originally owned by a Montgomery County resident as well, making this rare car even rarer. Join us to learn more about this wonderful vehicle and the Montgomery County Automobile Age. |
