You never knew who you would see when you went to the depot in Cambria – or any of the many railroad stops located within Montgomery County in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  Hardscrabble workers, young couples courting and everyone in between made their way to the station to put in a day’s work, or to see who had arrived for a visit.
