Felting Class

February 24

The Montgomery Museum of Art & History will host a 2-hour felting class led by New River Art & Fiber.  Tickets are $35 per person, and the class is limited to 20 participants. You do not need to bring any materials with you.  This class is inspired by the Montgomery Museum’s current Art+History exhibit “Textiles: Tradition and Transformation”, a collaborative project between the Museum and local textile artists.

Materials Provided:

  • Felting mat
  • Felter’s backing fabric
  • Four-five (4-5) colors of felting wool (some would be pre-determined and issued individually and others would be communal so you could pick and choose your colors for a portion of your painting)
  • Two (2)  felting needles
  • Embroidery hoop for framing and displaying the finished piece

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, February 21

Please note, this event is being held in the Community Room downstairs, which is not yet handicapped-accessible.
