PRESS RELEASE

January 28, 2019 – The Montgomery Museum and Great Road on Main are sponsoring the 2nd Annual “h’ARTS on Main” Art Festival on Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16, 2019.

Held at Great Road on Main at 100 W. Main Street in downtown Christiansburg, the 2-day Art Festival will feature the works of 19 local artists, a “Young h’ARTS on Main” area where kids can create a piece of art to take home (on Saturday only; 4 classes taught by local artists), area musicians providing music during the day on Saturday as well as concerts and talks on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Friday evening’s lineup to include performances by LEAP Performing Arts Company at 6:15 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) followed by the music of Classic Strings Duo/Rainier Trio and then a Taste of Art and Wine with Scott Crawford.

Saturday evening will feature P. Buckley (Pat) Moss at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) on her art and what inspires her as she shares her passion with the audience.  She will be followed by Harry Lester and then The Loose Strings Band rounding out the evening and ending the 2nd Annual h’ARTS on Main Arts Festival.  

Admission is free to attend the activities/exhibits each day from 1 – 7 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday but tickets are required for admission to the evening performances/talks.

Tickets are $30/person for Friday evening and $30/person for Saturday evening ($60/person for both evening’s performances). 
Doors open both evenings at 5:30 p.m. in Great Road Hall at Great Road on Main (entrance from Main Street).
